Likely Treasures
So, I guess I will start off my first blog with the basics and keep it simple and sweet giving this the best that I have. Blogging is not a new outlet to the world. . . however; it is new to me. It feels a bit strange to put myself out here to the online blogging community like this, but here it goes. . .
I am an easy-going kind of gal, sensitive by nature who is pretty much at that wonderful place where . . . yay. . . I don’t care anymore of what other people think of me. Well not for the most part anyway! This is freaking me out a bit, but here it goes! People around us are sometimes the most judgmental and often question everything we do. Society is harsh and family and friends are quite often critical rather than supportive. But it is most likely because they cannot see the same vision that we have and therefore cannot contribute to what we have going on. They unfortunately assume or possibly even hope that we fail. Quite sad isn’t it? It is a great idea to hear them out but we are adults and potentially make our own decisions. . . .right? We do however learn a lot from people in our lives. Some of our greatest teachers are those whom are the most dear to us. Family, friends, teachers, co-workers, bosses etc. Young and old that don’t even know that they’ve contributed. Even you, who is reading this has probably taught somebody close to you a valuable life lesson or have inspired something remarkable inside of them without you even knowing it. So. . . Ok all of you cynics out there. This is not only my first blog but also my first website so it may not go off without a hitch and will take years to be perfect. But let’s be honest. . . we have all been at the beginning stages of a new venture somewhere along the line. We stumble, we fall and we get back up on the horse once again. I already know that I will be changing and growing with this journey as I figure out what my main focus will be. After 20+ years of working outside of the home for someone else, I Pretty much eagerly jumped into this online escapade feet first, with just a glimpse of a vision of what is ahead of me. As I begin to focus on my vision on what I want to convey to the world, I know that as life will have it, I will eventually stumble and fall. My new and experienced internet friends will unknowingly pick me up and inspire me as I learn from their mistakes that they made when they were just starting out. As I learn and grow through this process, I will somehow find the courage to share some of me deepest thoughts and experiences to hopefully encourage a few of you along the way who may follow in my footsteps as well. See you at the top. . . or somewhere in the middle lol! ttyl Likely Treasures

I'm really enjoying your articles. I can relate. I feel like it's hard to compete with the big companies for traffic, but then again, maybe it's already hard to get traffic and the big sites we sell on are actually giving us an opportunity to get that traffic! Plus you can always use your business cards to direct traffic to your personal site when you sell on the others as long as it's not against the rules... That's the downside of having to use a big site to sell on; it's like they're your landlords!
