Life as we know it, has its way of stifling our sense of accomplishment as one activity, task or venture merges into the next. No sooner do you finish one project before you are already contemplating your next course of action towards the next endeavor.

We get so use to having our plate completely full, with every minute of every hour for 16 hours a day. We've become accustomed to feeling as though something is missing when we have nothing left to do on our list!

Rather than taking one minute, an hour or a day to stop and relax before adding to our To-do list, we keep flowing from one project to the next in fear that if we do stop, we may not get going again. Read on to see how you can better fight the daily drains and grasp a hold of your time and energy!

Four Easy Ways To Embrace A Sense Of Accomplishments On A Daily Basis.

  1. GO BACK TO THE BASICS OF SIMPLE SELF-CARE: Self care is extremely important especially during the tougher times in life. Eating right, getting enough rest and finding time for yourself is definitely a sense of accomplishment in today’s adrenaline rushed society. You need to stop the flight or fight way of life just to be able to get everything done. Instead start over, start fresh and consistently find ways to re-fuel your energy and turn up your deserve level on a daily basis. Cherish your self care rituals. You could never be too tired for a bit of pampering of yourself, right? O.K., If not, . . .then you will get there with practice!
  2. CREATE A SENSE OF WORK-LIFE BALANCE: Feeling a sense of accomplishment where you work can be challenging as you battle for the perfect synergy of what is expected of you vs. what you want for yourself. Do Not ever either physically or literally take your work home with you. Try not to let thoughts of work consume you when are out of the office. Your home life and time away from work is your sacred time and space and should always be preserved as such. By saving time and energy for your home and family, you will create a better synergy that will be self-fulfillment worthy.
  3. INDULGE IN SELF-REWARD: Even if your project is only partially done, take the time to praise or treat yourself for what you did achieve! The truth is that many or all accomplishments whether big or small are baby steps towards the bigger picture and deserves some merit. Reflect on where you are compared to where you’ve been and all that you have facilitated in between. The road was bumpy, yes? Yet some achievements were made, and there is one less item on your to-do list. Time for Ice Cream!
  4. QUIET YOUR MIND BY MAKING LISTS: We tend to think on an average of a 1000+ words a minute! That’s a lot of useless info to try to comprehend. Even as we are heading for. . . what is suppose to be a restful night sleep, our adrenaline and momentum rush keeps our mind awake as we dread, worry or overthink about what is ahead for us in the new day! Instead. . . start a list making routine on your iPhone! You will eliminate some swirling thoughts by writing down your work hours, appointments, special functions, housework, and reminders etc, This list maker is already built right into your iPhone with movable and editable accordion file folders. You can even schedule in time slots in your calendar if you want. I have my regular To-Do folders labeled in order from Sunday to Saturday. Each day (say it is Monday) a folder "Monday" is moved to the top of the list and I know exactly what I have to do that day! Whatever item on my list that did not get done by the end of the day, I then move it to the next day "Tuesday" or another day that I can fit it into my schedule. If many items did not get done on "Monday" then I simply re-name that folder to the new day "Tuesday" and then re-name the original Tuesday back to "Monday" so that it is ready for the next week I keep a separate folder for Business To-Do. Unless it is a task that needs immediate attention, such as ship an item, then it stays in my regular To-Do. I also have an Extended To-Do list, for projects that I need to get done whenever I can get to it, such as. . . paint front door for example. Any questions on this, I am happy to help!
